Quran and Adhan Competition Announced1st Annual MAS MN Quran and Adhan Competition 11th MAS Minnesota Convention October 8, 2016 – Muharram 7, 1438


The Quran and Adhan Competition will be held at the 2016 MAS MN Convention. Students will have the option to participate in four different levels.

COMPETITION STARTS AT 10:00 AM. ALL CONTESTANTS MUST REGISTER AT 10:00 AM.

Level 1 (Ages 15 and under): Juz’ 30 (Juz’ Amma)
Level 2 (Ages 15 and under): Juz’ 28-30
Level 3 (All Ages): Juz’ 26-30
Level 4 (All Ages): Juz’ 21-30
Adhan Competition (Boys 15 and under)

Prizes will be for $100, $250, $500 and $1,000

Participants cannot participate in more than one level of the competition.
Full-time Quran teachers and Imams cannot participate in the competition.
Adhan Competition is for boys 15 and under
Level 1 and level 2 are open to ages 15 and under.
Level 3 and Level 4 are open to all ages male and female.

Judging

Participants’ competition grade is comprised of 75% for memorization and 25% for recitation.
If any contestant scores less than 60/100 in the total score he/she will automatically be disqualified.
Participants will be tested on recitation and memorization according to the rules of tajweed.
Only one person may accompany a participant if the participant wishes so.

Administrative

Prizes will be given to the Competition winners.
The judge’s decisions are final in all cases and will not be challenged or changed.
Winners will be announced at the MAS MN Convention Saturday, October 8, 2016.
If there are less than 5 registrants for a category the Quran Competition organizers have the right to cancel the category.
The Quran Competition organizers reserve the right to dismiss, cancel and/or disqualify any participant without any liability at any time with immediate effect; this includes but is not limited to, any participant who tampers with the operation of the competition or competition site or violates the terms and conditions or any other applicable laws and regulations or provides false information.
